How do you remove a transmission from a Harley?

I need to remove the transmission from my Harley.

1. Disconnect linkage, drain & remove primary cover. 2. Remove clutch, stator & clutch housing 3. Loosen transmission. 4. Remove primary chain. 5. Remove inner primary. 6. Remove bolts from bottom of transmission. 7. Disconnect clutch safety connection. 8. Slide tranny out of left side of frame.

Remove the clutch cable. Remove transmission mounting nuts. Remove the primary chain adjusting screw. Lift transmission rotate to the rear 90 degrees. Remove transmission from the LEFT side.

hub is right except he forgot to mention removing the starter first thing. Also, no need to remove stator since it is underneath primary sprocket at the engine. (primary sprockets and chain come off as one unit. It will be obvious as you proceed. Careful to keep clutch intact.
