How do you remove a brake light switch in a Chevy pickup?

Grab a scewdriver. Pop your hood and disconnect the negative portion of your battery for safty. Locate the screws of your brake light near the bed of your truck. Remove them with the screwdriver. Pull off the cover. Rotate the light until it pops out. Replace with approprate light.

That is very hard to tell you. If I knew the year and which model I could give you a definite answer. On older trucks there is a small circular sensor mounted against the pedal arm. Just unhook the wires and screw it out.
