How do you reformat a harddrive?

Be careful here, but go into my computer right click on the harddrive letter like c: or e: and then choose format. I always use the quickformat option and it have always worked well

It depends on whether you're trying to reformat your primary or secondary drive. If you're reformating your primary drive, just boot from your WINDOWS CD and the installation would prompt you. If its a secondary drive, just right click on the drive from the My Computer window.

Some operating systems come with a tool to format a drive but there are a lot of third party ones. Just run these on the drive as per the directions.

Reformatting a hard drive is a very easy task in the Windows Operating system. First backup all of your important information. Go find your windows backup cd, put it in, reboot the computer. Follow the prompts from there. Choose a "New Install" and on the blue screen format/delete partitions.

You must have a boot disk that will allow you to get into dos. You need a Windows disk to reinstall the operating system. If you have both of these you can format the hard drive and reinstall Windows. However, you must know the dos commands.
