How do you reformat the hard drive?

First make sure that this is really what you want. Reformatting is NOT always the correct solution to fix your computer. Then, if you confirm this need, just insert a Windows installation drive and reboot your computer. Press a key when asked, and you'll be provided a way to reformat.

You can right-click the MANAGE of the computer icon on your desktop and go to Disk Management in Storage shown in the left column, where you can see your driver such as C:,D:,E:(if more). Right-click on the one you want to format(not work with C:)

Usually that is an option available on the back up disc. Put them in the cd-rom drive and reboot. It will give you a prompt as soon as it restarts.

You can either use a boot-able cd to do it or install it into another pc to format it. Use either the oem formatting program or download one.
