You can not put borders on a wordpad, because wordpad is intended to be a plain text editor. You can do very basic text editing, but feature like borders does not supported. If you need borders on your document, you can always use Microsoft Word from Microsoft Office, or use the free alternative

Wordpad is a basic word processing software provided for Microsoft Windows. On its own, it cannot add borders, but you workaround this embedding a MS Office Word document into a Wordpad file. This is done by clicking "Insert", check "Create New", select "Microsoft Office Word Document", and click "Ok".

Wordpad is a plain text editor like Notepad. It does not support adding borders. You can only only use wordpad for basic text editing like changing font size and style.

To this date, there is no feature that allows you to create borders on the wordpad application. I would suggest MS Word, or, openoffice. org

This can be done by going to file then page setup so that you can change the margins. If you are referring to graphical boarders you cant in wordpad.
