If you contact your vet and explain to them what it is that you are trying to do they will be able to walk you through the process and with them helping you. You will know you are doing it correctly otherwise you could make a mistake and that would not be good.

Fill out submission form. No food 30 minutes before collection. Collecting clean cheek epithelial cells. Dog's name on wrapper. Peel back sleeve about an inch. Grasping the handle, pull swab out. Steady dog's head; vigorously rub and rotate inside surface of the cheek for 30 seconds. Re- insert swab into sleeve. Place swab and submission in mailer, seal and mail.
