Can a urine test test for heart disease?

Heart disease exists in my family so I'm getting a test done, but I was told I'd take a blood test and a urine test. Urine can tell you about heart health?

Your kidneys filter your blood. Blood circulation is controlled by the heart. How well the heart circulates the blood depends upon how healthy it is. If your heart is not health, alterations in the things the kidneys filter out can be an indication of heart disease.

Yes it can. A urine test looks for fragments of callogen. Callogen has a major role in blocking heart arteries. High concentrations of callogen fragments is a sign of atherosclerosis(hardening of the arteries), which leads to a heart attack.

They have a ton of different things and ways they test for when you have a possible suspected heart problem. And they may be doing a urine test on you to see if your white cell count is where it belongs because white and red blood cells are directly related to your heart.

i think no, because they did this blood test and urine test because it is a standard test of a hospital. to detect any heart disease they do it through electro cardio gram or x-ray. urine test cant determine any heart disease but can only determine any presence in urine that may react to your condition
