You definitely can NOT do this at home, it is both dangerous and likely impossible. Gold is a metal, which means you will need to achieve very high temperatures and have the right equipment both to melt it and manage it after melting. Leave this to the professionals.

Melting gold takes extreme heat and you would need a foundry to do so. The only way to do this is to get it done professionally by someone who has the equipment.

No. Do not do this at home. You need to go to a jeweler or a place/person that buys gold. Gold melts at higher temperatures and it would not be safe to do this at home. YOu need to go to a professional to request that this be done, as they have proper equipment and tools.

You can melt gold jewelry at home but it's probably not a good idea. You don't want to mix karats and you want to remove any stones. Then you need some pretty specialized equipment. Take it to several local jewelers and ask for an estimate. The range will surprise you.
