Do 24 karat gold earrings have its karat weight stamped on the jewelry?

Or is there an additional way to identify that it is really 24 karat gold?

All gold jewelry is stamped with the karat weight. On necklaces, it is usually on the clasp and on earrings it's engraved on the back of the earring. The more pure gold is, the easier it bends. 10 karat is very sold while 24 karat is very soft.

Most gold will have a stamp indicating its purity, but if it is made by a craftsman, it may not have this mark. A jeweler can do an acid test.

I would like to think that 24 karat gold earrings would have the karat stamped on it. Most all jewlry does have the karat stamped on it. The only reason I would think it might not be would be that it is too soft.
