It depends upon the pattern you want to make but you essentially are weaving a small square out of plastic material in the most basic variation. Making sure that you keep up with your under and over stitches will most like present the biggest problem when you are first getting started.

The actual scoubidous material has to be purchased from a craft supply store. once you have that you can search for tutorials and how to knot with it.
