How do you make negronis?

I just had one, and it was delicious!

Answer by  Joe12 (189)

Negronis are one part Campari, one part gin, and one part sweet vermouth. They're typically served in an aperatif glass. I've never seen them garnished with anything, but I suppose you could add a fruit wedge.

Negroni is a "appetif cocktail" consisting of equal parts of gin, vermouth, and Campari bitters. Stir with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass 3/4 filled with cracked ice, Add a splash of seltzer water if desired.

It is basically made with gin, sweet vermouth and Campari liquer. You combine these ingredients in an ice shaker and serve. It has a bitter taste and is generally used in the Italian culture as an apperitif.

Here's a recipe for a negroni cocktail. This recipe makes enough for 1 serving. Combine 1 fluid ounce gin, 1 fluid ounce campari, and 1 fluid ounce sweet vermouth in a cocktail mixer full of ice. Stir and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a twist of lemon zest.
