To make hummingbird nectar, combine one part white sugar (use white sugar only, NOT brown sugar or artificial sweeteners) and four parts water, e.g. 1 cup white sugar and 4 cups water. Heat the water and mix in the sugar until it dissolves, then allow the mixture to cool.

Mix one part cane sugar to four parts water, and stir until the sugar has dissolved. You don't need to add any color.

the answer to this is sugar and water. Mix half sugar and half water. Hummingbirds love this and the hummingbirds keep coming back for more. They really do love this.

Mix sugar and water in a cup or a jar, stir briskly until the sugar is completely dissolved. Pour the mixture into a clean hummingbird feeder. Cover any unused nectar.
