How do you make bisque soup?

Does it have to be lobster?

A bisque soup is a creamy soup that does not usually have large chunks. There are many different kinds- tomato, crab, lobster, corn. You do not have to make lobster bisque.

It doesn't have to be lobster--it's bisque because of its thick, creamy texture. Saute your seafood/meat, add broth, then pure and add cream to get the right texture.

1 red pepper 1/2 cup onion 1/2 pound cooked shrimp 2 cups cream 1 can tomato sauce 1 tablespoon butter Heat onion,red pepper.Add remaining ingredients.Simmer.Pour into blender;high for 10 seconds.
