First get a picture of the costume you would like to make. They buy the material and decorations. Use one of your children as a model and cut and pin the pattern to the child. Take each section and sew.

The best way to make a costume is to get some material of what it is that you want to make. If your costume consists of makeup you can go look at videos online at costume tutorials and more than likely you will find exactly what you are looking for.
