You may run a fever. Extreme pain and hearing loss are symptoms as well as a pus or watery discharge. Your doctor will have to be the one to diagnose a ruptured eardrum because none of the symptoms are exclusive to an eardrum rupture. The doctor will take your history of ear pain and other symptoms.
