The best way, on your own, to kill these bugs is to buy a commercial pesticide like Raid and spray the ant pile where they live. If this does not work, the best way is to call an exterminator to handle the problem properly.

First seek out the ant hills surrounding your home. Make a mixture equal parts boric acid and powdered sugar. Sprinkly around ant hills. They will carry the mixture back to the hive to kill the other ants. Also, mix a spray bottle with dish soap and water and spray every ant you see, This will kill "scouts" in your house.

Have you tried raid? Raid usually works really well and another thing you can do to get rid of them is spray ammonia all over the surface. They should disappear.

Yes.Red ants are more powerful than normal ants because red ants had formic acid if it bites some one this acid makes the particular people feels more pain for a long time.I suggest you to kill the best way is dissolve the soap in the water and spread it on the ants or use fire to kill the ants.
