Check the amperage on the fan. getdimmer switch and plate that matches turn off the breaker switch to cut power to the controlling fan remove the wall switch and the wires attach new wires secure the switch and plate push the wires into the switch box and tighten.Pull the dimmer dial off put the switch in place and tighten
