Schedule a time every day to study when you're alert, and if needed, schedule a time to study each subject. Go over your notes after each class, fill in any blanks, and make notes on what you don't understand so you can ask someone while it's still fresh on your mind.

Find your primary learning method--visual, auditory, kinesthetic, etc. or combine several methods by reading the material aloud and writing main points. Join a study group. Take a study skills class.

Your goal with every study session is to make sure you understand the material and can connect it to other ideas related to the field. Read the text but also use quality sources on the internet to help you achieve this goal. Record lectures and listen to them as well. Schedule plenty of time to work on study skills.
