How do you go about the process of smoothing sand paint?

I have textured walls and need to know the process of removing the texture.

Probably the easiest way to remove texture is to remove the sheetrock completely and replace it with new sheetrock. What a messy job to try to even out walls with texture, nevermind working with a wall that has had the texture removed. This is much easier just to switch it out.

Well to smooth sand paint, you need to get a sander and then scrape off slowly in a consistent sie ways fashion. This will allow you to remove the texture.

Painting the walls with a thick "ceiling paint" may work, depending on the depth of your texturing. Alternatively, smoothing it well with a random orbital sander first could do you well. Renting a large one will save you some time, you can get it at a large home improvement store.
