How do you fix an xbox 360 disc that is scratched?

They sell kits to repair any CD type disk; most use a paste type liquid that you apply to the disk then smooth with a micro fiber cloth. Some game stores also offer disk repair at reasonable rates; if the disk has a deep scratch this may be your better option.

There is a device called a SkipDr that I have had success with. It fixed alot of my ps2 games that were unplayable. It will fix all types of compact disks from cd's, dvd's and blurays. It is sold at best buy and online at amazon also. It is very easy to use.

You could first try the basic wipe with a soft cloth. If this fails the next step is to try and find a clean patch of skin on yourself, no hair and rub the disc against this, sometimes the wax or grease on your skin will act as mild filler for the scratch.

You can use car wax to buss out the scratch, my preference is Maguire's because it is silicone based and does not leave a lasting residue. Apply a small dab to a microfiber cloth and buff it out.

There are certain clothes and also a special liquid that you can buy in electronics stores that help fix up scratches. Also, have you tried a disc doctor? My friend has one and it completely fixed his copy of GTA4. Oh, and sometimes just gently washing the disc with water and then cleaning it with a soft cloth works.

The best you can do is to either buy cd scratch remover from a game store, or I heard toothpaste gets rid of scratches also.

An Xbox disc that is scratch can be a pain, so I suggest wiping the enitre disc gently with a soft, damp cloth.
