Learning to do side splits takes patience and practice. Fist, get on your knees. Take one leg and extend it straight in front of you so that your heel is on the ground. Slowly slide your heel out until you feel a slight stretch. Hold it. Do the other side. Each day, slide your heel out a little bit further.

Side splits can be accomplished by stretching your adductor muscles; Sit in front of a wall with your legs spread and your knees straight; Scoot forward until you can't go anymore. Stay in that position for 30 seconds. Repeat daily and you will find yourself much closer to the wall.

Fully extend your knees. Slowly push downward until you are as far as you can go. You should stop immediately if you feel pain.

a lot of people cant do them because there not flexible enough. stretch your hamstrings so you can bend your legs more
