How do you decide what your good luck charm is?

Everybody has their own good luck charm, and only you can decide what yours is. Typically people decide on something because it has actually brought them good luck in the past. My good luck charm for a very long time was a taurus pendant my mom had bought for me.

Something personal gives the "charm" significance. Mine is a wooden thumb ring I carved myself. If my luck is going badly, I put my ring on my other thumb. It also is a reminder to myself to work hard. Other charms probably carry secondary meanings as well.

Some people believe your good luck charm is based on your birth year - that is your horosope sign, or in Chinese culture, the animal you belong to.
