How do you make wine glass charms?

You could just get small charms for a relatively low cost from a craft store like Michaels or AC Moore. You could use ribbon to tie them or just by the metal bracelet making material that is sold by the spool if you prefer that look. Making them yourself will allow you to custimize them more and make them personal.

To make a simple wine charms get blank jewelry hoops in 1" diameter and beads of choice to thread on the hoops. Simple glass beads work well and come in many colors. Simply thread the bead on the hoop and then using a pair of pliers crimp the closure. done!

The simplest ones I've seen were made from different colored pipe cleaners and barrel beads. Metallic pipe cleaners are attractive. Cut the pipe cleaner in half or thirds, string on three beads (different combination for each person) and twist around the stem of the wine glass. Bonus: easily removed afterward.

You'll need wire, pliers/wire clippers, a simple straight round rod (as think around as you'd like the charms to be). Wrap the wire around the rod, and cut so each charm is 2 thick, like a keychain. Slide on any desired beads, or even make little cardboard charms. Can also use stretchy 'wire' instead of hard wire.

A fun way to make wine glass charms to identify whose glass is whose is to buy small, pull-apart wire rings. Collect beads of different colors and shapes and slip them in different combinations onto the wire rings. Recycle old costume jewelry so as to collect lots of different beads!

As I am an avid crocheter, I would make charms out of different colors of yarn. These could be in any style, like small bows, balls, curlys or droplets. They could also have one color, two colors or more. they would fit on the glass being attached around the stem.
