How do you clean acrylic blankets?

These should really only be handwashed, then air-dried. If you must wash them in a machine, put it on the delicate cycle in either the "warm" or "cold" water setting.

Two to three times I had given my acrylic blackets to a dry clean shop to clean it. But now I am using my washer and dryer to clean it. You can do that. But you should give proper care in setting temperature. You can wash it in warm temperatures but dry on the low setting.

Acrylic blankets can be cleaned in a regular washing machine using the settings of cool water wash and cool water rinse. If the blanket is fairly dirty, then I would change the setting to warm water wash and warm water rinse.

Wash in cold water using the delicate cycle, no bleach. Let it air dry. Use the dryer's "Air/Fluff" if needed. Otherwise, use the lowest heat setting. Heat can damage acrylic.

I use a top loading washer cool water setting minimal liquid soap,using fabric softener on the final rince.Hag on a line an brush the blanket from top to bottom.Then in the dryer on cool cycle for 20 min...Or till dry.
