You will need a rectangular utility razor blade. Use sand paper and lightly sand the two outside corners of the blade. While holding the blade firmly and perpendicular to the surface use it like an eraser to lightly scrape the run until it's gone. The area will now buff out easily. Use Buffing compound followed by polishing compound.

You will not be able to buff out the runs without touching up the paint afterwards. Use steel wool or high grade sandpaper and gently smooth out the bubbles or runs. When repainting, limit humidity where possible and consider using a fan or hairdryer to make the drying process too fast for runs to develop. Good Luck!

I would just use a piece of fine sandpaper to gently sand the runs out.... but you will then need to touch up the sanding with fresh paint, as the sanding will knock off the shine of the enamel and will show as a dull spot. You may need to repaint the entire piece.

I am assuming that the acrylic enamel is on wood or other hard-serviced objects. I would use steel wool and a buffing sand paper with more than 200 grit.

Runs can be buffed out with a very high grit emory cloth or similar product that will not scratch the surface you are trying to smooth. There are sandpapers on the market that are specifically designed to do what you need. Check with sales clerk or read manufactures labels to ensure you have the right product.
