Open hood and locate the fuel filter. If the fuel filter has a clear case, inspect the filter element for dirt. Secure the lines back onto the fuel filter. If applicable, reinstall the fuel pump fuse. Start the engine and check for fuel leaks. Test drive the vehicle to check for a rough running engine, hesitation, or lack of power.

The fuel filter is on the fuel line between the fuel tank and the engine. It can be removed with simple wrenches.

First locate the fuel filter, try searching in google. Second determine the tool needed for removal. If it have a hex shaped connection a simple box wrench will do, on most newer cars a special tool will be needed. Place a drain pan under the filter to catch any spilled gasoline. Remove filter and install the new one.

Fuel filters are commonly found above the gas tank. Most often the gas tank needs to be empty or close to empty, then unfasten the gas tank from the vehicle and drop it down to access the filter.

Look in the owners manual and it will show you where the filter is located then just take the old one out and put the new one.

There are some bolts that hold your tank in place. Remove these and your tank should just drop right down. Your filter is in there an should screw right off.

Follow your fuel lines and your filter should be along them somewhere. there should be a hose clamp on both sides of the fuel filter and can be removed usually by just using a pair of pliers. Make sure your get the correct Fuel filter.

The fuel filter will either be located under the hood near the engine or in the tank depending on vehicle. The filter is easily removed. Mind the flow arrow on the filter for replacement. Undo clamps with plyers and remove. Gas will leak out. Replace in reverse order.
