Just tighten it around it, your filter might be too large for tool, Some of them are made for smaller cars, you should be able to loosen it by hand.

You simply have to insert the tool around the shaft of the fuel filter end. Once it is in you have to press it firmly down into place.

The only tools i'm aware of that you we to disconnect / connect the fuel filter ara pliars, needle nose p liars, a wrench, and a flare nut wrench.

Tools you'll need are pliars, needle nose p liars, a wrench, and a flare nut wrench. Insert tool around shaft of fuel filter end, press down into place.

find the correct collar that snuggly fits the fuel line, slide it down the line till it goes into the fuel filter sleeve, press in and pull on the fuel filter at the same time, it should pop loose.
