Where is the fuel filter located on my car?

It could be located in several places depending on what kind of car you have. Look online or in a repair manual to find out exactly where it is located.

The fuel filter can be located anywhere along the fuel line from the injector housing or carburetor to inside the fuel tank in which case it is not servicable without replacing the fuel pump itself. On carbureted GM cars it was located inside the carburetor housing at the fuel line entrance. Just trace it back or ask a parts store.

The fuel filter of a car is located on the inside of the frame outside of the fuel tank. It should usually be on top of the fuel tank and you will see some piping coming out it.

Fuel filters are usually underneath the vehicle on the driver's side of the car between the front and rear wheels.
