How do I treat swelling in the ankles?

I don't know why my ankles are swelling.

There are many ways to prevent swelling in the ankles.You can lower swelling by lifting yuor leg above the level of your heart.It is also important to exercise your angles lightly.You can do this by massaging,and rotating your foot

Elevating the ankles above your chest can help reduce swelling as well as using an ice pack for 15-20 minutes and refraining from consistent movement.

You should go to a doctor in case somethings wrong, but to reduce the swelling you can prop your feet up when ever you are sitting or laying down. If that doesn't help you could try to do some running, either one can help. But it could be because your having high blood pressure so you should get checked.

If you don't have any diseases such as diabetes, you should be able to eliminate the swelling by cutting out the amount of salt you are ingesting.

Usually ankle swelling is due to inflamation in the joints. This often occurs when you have poor circulation or a sprain didn't heal properly. Regular ankle medical wraps will help.
