First, gather the accessories needed to repair the blanket. A good scissors, thread, heming pins, and a sewing needle. Next, take the blanket and turn it over to the side that is not seen by others. Pinch the two sides of the hole together, pinning that. Take your needle with knotted thread and sew, completing it with a tied off end.

If possible try to find a patch or a bit of good material that matches the blanket and size it to over lap the hole just about 1/2 inch all they way around. Place the patch inside the whole, and pin it in place. Pick a thread that will not be noticed, and sew along the pins.

Assuming the blanket is made out of fabric, the best repair is to patch it. Find a coordinating fabric and sew the patch on top covering the hole.

If it is just a small hole you can darn the hole - there are many tutorials online for this. If the hole is large, it might be better to sew a patch over the hole.

Pull the blanket together, closing the hole. Then starting on one side of the hole, stitch into each side and pull together. More advanced methods include darning or patching.

It depends on the type of fabric your blanket is made from. For normal fabric, take a simple needle & thread and sew up the hole.

Using a needle and thread, simply pull the hlanket edges together and slip stitch them. A simple loop stitch will hold the edges nicely.
