well before hand lets just say that this should only be attempted by a professional because when dealing with anything electrical very is defiantly some danger when doing anything like this yourself. First you need to remove all refingent from system.then remove the switch. last replace switch and refingent. that is a oversimplification but you get the idea.

This job should be done by a qualified refrigerant recovery A/C mechanic. Remove all refrigerant from system, remove switch with wrench, replace with new switch, replace refrigerant.
