You have to have three or four pieces of it and then all you do is twist them off at the joint then get you pot and soil ready for them and once you have done that just put them into the soil. The most important thing is water soil first.

Start them in the spring. Wait til the flower dies off then. Take a piece 3 or 4 segments long make sure you let the cutting dry out for a couple hours then get a pot and plant.

Seed propagation is slow. Cuttings is another way. The ones with the shoots coming off are easier. Carefully pull them away from the mother plant and plant in soil.

Cactus can be propogated by means of seeds or a divisional block of it.Seeds are available in various nurseries.A pot which contain drainy soil is used for seedling cactus.
