Cactus coral needs moderate to strong water flow to prevent sediment damage and encourage feeding. You do not need to add anything special to the water.

To care for cactus coral, you should keep a strong flow of warm water in the aquarium, adding calcium and strontium to help it stay healthy. You should also feed it plankton and brine shrimp at night.

Add strontium and calcium to the water so your cactus will grow. In the evening add plankton or brine shrimp to the water for your cactus to feed on. This cactus also likes high light levels and water currents to keep it healthy and hardy.
