Collect pods after they have dried. Place about 1/4" in potting soil. Keep soil moist and temperature around 70 degrees. You can also propagate with cutting.

Rose of Sharon should be propagated under lights in the spring before it has a chance to bloom. This will ensure success.

You may propogate the rose of sharon at the early morning of the fresh sunlight time. At the time of early morning sun light contains the necessity light focus of energy that the rose of sharon utilise from the sunlight. More sunlight may affect the photo- perioidsm of the sharon rose.
