You go to the data drop down display and select "Import data". In the new applet brought up select your Microsoft Word file and upload. After uploading you can format it any way you wish.

There are two methods. The first is to open the worksheet, copy what you want and then paste it into Word. The formatting should stay the same. The other way is to select from the Menu Bar "Insert...Object". Select the tab marked "Create from File". Find the file you want and then select it.

You can import data because Microsoft Excel and Word are a part of a software suite that work together. Because of this only data can transfer by cut, copy and paste.
