There should be a tension pulley that has a bolt you can turn to loosen the pull on the belt. You loosen the pulley till you can remove the belt then replace, new belt will be tighter.

The first thing you need is to unbolt the battery. The loosen your alternator or belt tensioner. Then slip off the old belt and install the new one.

Loosen the fan belt tensioner. Remove the belt. Pass it around the fan. Replace with new one. Procedure is the same as removal only in reverse. You may also loosen and remove fan if belt won't pass around the fan. Always tighten the belt tensioner.
