you can often tell how someone feels by the way he is around you, does he give you all of his attention, does he call at the last minute for a date, if you are not a priority in his life then chances are his feelings are not that deep.

How does he treat you when you're alone? Does he listen to you, is he respectful and kind? How does he treat you around his friends? If he acts embarrassed or doesn't treat you well, that's not a good sign. And worse, if he doesn't introduce you to his friends, or claims not to know you, then forget him.
