The division symbol can be found in the "symbols" font using the character mapper (run "charmap" from the run menu, choose symbols, and find it (it is special character 0xB8). If you are not comfortable with the run menu, select All Programs from the start menu, choose Accessories, System Tools, and you will see the character map application there.

In creating a division symbol in word perfect is very easy. You just have to go to the start menu, go to programs, accessories, system tools, and character map. Then find the symbol that you are looking for and copy and paste it into your word perfect document. It's that easy.

Hold the left "alt" button while you type "0247" on the numeric pad. Another way would be to go to the start menu, go to programs, accessories, system tools, and character map. Find the symbol you are looking for and copy and paste it into your word perfect document. Thanks.

You can type the division symbol, anywhere, with the following instructions: Press the ALT key on your keyboard, and while keeping it pressed, type in the sequence 0 2 4 7 on the numeric keypad (make sure the NumLock is active), then release it. Alternatively, you can click on the "insert" menu, select "symbol", then find ÷ from the list.
