Mildew on canvas is a plant actually growing on canvas. You'll need to kill the plant and restore the color. Fabric stores have fabric paint that you can use to touch up the color after you kill the mildew on your canvas with sanitizer.

You will have to spray an all purpose cleaner on a towel and then you will have to wipe off the canvas with the towels.

You can clean mildew from material with a bleach solution and then rinse and allow it to air dry in the sun.

Wipe it gently with a damp cloth, and a touch of lemon extract or juice. This will kill the bacteria, remove the unsightly appearance, and remove the damp musty smell associated with mould. Should the area be large, a bucket of warm soapy water and a cloth will be more appropriate.
