You can calculate drinks for a party by taking the number of people. Then, calculate enough alcohol for each of those people to have 10 drinks. While most people won't drink that much. It's better to have some left over, then not enough.

The number of guests, length of time, and if food is being served are the three variables when trying to calculate amount of drinks. Assuming alcohol is being served, one ounce of alcohol X one guest X one hour is the legal and safest formula. If you have 10 guests for 4 hours that would equal 40 ounces of alcohol.

First of all you must calculate how many persons you are inviting for the party and how many of them take drinks. Then clculate an average of three pegs per person multiplied by the number of persons. Then you will get the exact figure. As it is a party some may take more so keep a few bottles as extra.
