Practical Nurse's in Canada need to follow a community or private technical college program, leading to a licensing exam. If you are not a Canadian citizen, are already trained your qualifications must be evaluated, you will have to sit a Canadian exam in the province you want to practice in.

To become a licensed practitional nurse, you have to meet the educational requirements according to the province. If you are coming from abroad, this means re-taking the course or upgrading at a local university. Then you must pass the educational exam to earn full rights and right to practice. It is a long process.

The qualifications to become an LPN are not as stringent as becoming Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner, with licensing(to qualified students)after only 9 ot 12 months of training in a quality/community/college.

It is a must to hold a nursing degree or a licence for practising in Canada. You should have a licence received from the state plus training from the state. Without these there is no meaing in searching for a job. Join a school of nursing first for eligibility. Moreover there is a pracice that you must sign a contract.

Probably the same as you would in the US. You would need to take your entrance exam to be accepted,go through the year course and take your final board test.

LPN's in Canada must go through formal training. You can obtain a hospital certificate in under a year or you can opt to go to community college for two years.
