Begin by teaching yourself some tricks. Join a local club and/or social networking on the internet for that interest. Practice a lot in front of a mirror (and you might want to video yourself so you can improve your work). Read books and magazines.

Magic is a brand of show business where, more than any other, you have to make a reputation before you can get any exposure. Learn some tricks, perfect your performance, and then perform for some groups. Get some more shows and as you become more popular, perform before bigger groups.
