Arousal signs: slow walking around others, rubbing butt on ground, rumbly noise. Happens constantly in males, to females in heat (also raise butt - show readiness). Mating lasts seconds, happens often.

Guinea pigs tend to mate with the closes thing to them. If you have one guinea pig and you get another it is very likely they will mate.

Once you have a male and female guniea pig together, the female will lay on her stomach with her rear end in the air.
