I'm going to get in trouble for saying this but Maya Angelou is a phenomenal woman because of Oprah Winfrey. Oprah brought her work to the white public and people embraced it, even if Angelou's poetry didn't make sense.

Maya Angelou is a famous autibiography writer. She has wrote many famous books, been nominated for the Pulitzer Award, and was active in the Civil Rights movement.

Maya Angelou went through a really tough life but she worked very hard to become the women that she is. She is a great example. Anyone can be successful.
