How did Britain participate in WW2?

The British Isles were at no time invaded by German forces. They were, however bombed heavily. The Royal Air Force managed to fight off the German air offensive eventually. British land forces fought in Europe, Africa and the Pacific as well as the China/India /Burma area. The Royal Navy also participated greatly in the war against Germany and Japan.

Britain was the first major nation involved in fighting the Germans, after the defeat of France standing alone against the Nazis. Despite heavy casualties during bombing raids, Britain never capitulated.
