The best way to know is how he treats the woman. If he treats her like a queen and gives her a lot of attention ALL the time is good.

No one thing that will reveal this, but there are several small signs. Does he like to be around you when sex is not a possibility? Does he make spending time with you a priority? Does he listen to you? All of these are signs of love.
