How can you tell if a dog was poisoned?

The dogs behavior is a good indicator. If the dog is throwing up, having diarrhea and/or looking tired or depressed and not bein very active there is reason for concern. If the dog is showing no signs, especially vomitting then its unlikely but the best thing to do is to call your vet and have him tested to be safe.

If your dog was poisened it would not want to eat. It waould probably be acting sick and may throw up and have diarrhea. Your dog may be very agitated or could be lethargic. There is no sure way to know without tests. If you care about your dog you must take it to a vet right away!

You need to take your dog to a vet. If anyone can tell if your dog has been poisoned, a veterinarian will be able to.

Depending on what your pet was poisoned with, only bloodwork done by your local vet can determine this. Many common household items can be poisonous to animals.
