Dogs are not allergic to poison ivy because of their fur coat. The only place that may be sensitive in under the belly where there is no fur. If you think your dog has come in contact with poison ivy, give your dog a bath so the poison is not transmitted to humans.

Dog's usually don't respond to poison ivy, but if your dog starts to itch and bite it's feet or body, you can give them benadryl.
