Question by  PA (23)

How can you make your own organizer for scrapbooking?

I don't see any point in buying one.

I would start with a paper box with poster board dividers cut to size. I would use this to organize flat items such as templates, paper, and the scrapbooks. Pens, pencils, markers and scissors I would put in wide mouth jars such as peanut butter jars, or a wide mouth vase. Store stickers and decorations in a shoe box.

The kitchen has a wealth of storage containers for organizing your scrapbook materials: 1. Small plastic containers with lids can hold your cutouts, buttons, brads and other accessories; 2. A dish rack can organize all your pretty papers; Finally, recycle a shoebox for your ribbons.

I got my idea from one at the store. I bought a large plastic file holder and files the items by their usage. I got this at Target for $10.00 and it came with the folders. So I just labeled the folders and put the supplies in order.

We love doing crafts and didnt want to pay a high price either. I took a old filing cabinet and just revamped it. We labled the areas with what what was in each folder and it has worked really well for us. Also I have used a old coupon organizer that I had for smaller items.
