Sand can easily be removed from a pool by renting an underwater vaccuum from any local pool company. Rentals are typically about $40 per day and is certainly a lot cheaper than draining your pool and refilling it. Alternately, you can call your local pool company and they will charge you about $100 to do this for you.

There is no reason that a good pool vacuum cannot be used to suck the sand from the bottom of the pool. If you need to, take off the head and place the hose directly over the sand to increase suction. Both methods should restore the sand into the filter.

Get yourself a mechanical sweeper. Easily Picks up about 90% of the sand. Just remember long smooth slow strokes so as not to disturb the sand particulate on the floor.

Never use play sand in your pump unless you want to spend the entire summer trying to get it out....oh and you can't vacuum it with the hose hooked up to the pump, it will just blow back in, you have to backwash it all out and add more water.

You can use a hose and create a siphon to get the sand out. Or use a vacuum used for vacuuming ponds.

first dry your pool.let it dry for 2 days.Use shovel to remove these sand. Then mob the floor with cotton material which is not wet. This enables the sand to get cleaned completely. The best method may be to call in official cleaners to remove the sand.Clean only on hot summerday for good result.
